Mobile apps that fit the way your business already works

FA ACCOUNTANCY LTD builds iOS and Android applications for companies, then connects them to the systems and teams that have to use them every day. We start with a discovery call, put the scope in writing, and give you an estimate before anyone writes code.

How a project runs

The same five stages every time, so you always know what is happening and what is needed from you next.

  1. 1

    Discovery

A conversation about the process the application has to carry, who will use it and what it has to connect to.

  2. 2

    Specification

A written scope, a screen inventory and an estimate you can review before committing to anything.

  3. 3

    Design and build

Interface design, then development in short cycles with working builds you can install on real devices.

  4. 4

    Store submission

Listing, privacy declarations, ratings and the review process for the App Store and Google Play.

  5. 5

    Support

Warranty cover after release, then monitoring, OS-release testing and improvements as the business changes.

About the company

FA ACCOUNTANCY LTD is a mobile application developer registered in England and Wales, company number 16929622, with its registered office in Bramhall, Stockport. We work with business owners and operations managers who need software their staff will actually use.

Our work covers the whole life of an application: the discovery that establishes what it has to do, the build, the store release, the rollout to staff and the support that keeps it running afterwards.

Tell us what the app has to do and who will use it. We will come back with questions, then a written scope.

Common questions

How long does a business app take to build?

It depends on scope, and we will not pretend otherwise before seeing yours. A focused internal tool covering one process is a much shorter project than a customer-facing application with payments and integrations. What we can promise is that you get a written timeline with the estimate, before the contract is signed, and that we tell you early if anything threatens it.

What does it cost?

Timelines and pricing are quoted per project after a discovery call. The discovery call establishes what the application has to do, and the written estimate that follows sets out the scope, the stages and the payment schedule. There is no charge for the call and no obligation to proceed.

Who owns the source code and the store accounts?

Ownership of the source code and the arrangements for the App Store and Google Play accounts are agreed in writing before development starts, and recorded in the contract for your project. We recommend that developer accounts are held in your company's name, so that the listing and the customer relationship stay with you if you ever change supplier.

What happens after the app is released?

A warranty period covers defects against the agreed specification. Beyond that, operating systems and store rules change every year, so applications need regular attention: dependency updates, testing against new OS releases, certificate renewals and store compliance. That is covered by our support and maintenance service, which you can start at any point.

No obligation and no charge for the first call. If we are not the right fit for your project we will say so.
